Managing attachments using CSV import


Store Commander's CSV import tool allows you to associate and dissociate attachments to products in bulk very quickly.

If the attachments files are already present in the list of attachments in your shop, then the import process with associate documents to products as indicated in your CSV file.

If the attachments files are not present in the list of attachments in your shop, then the import process with add and associate documents to products as indicated in your CSV file. For documents to be added during the import process, you need to save them on your FTP in directory /modules/storecommander/import/attachements/

 

 Associating attachments

Your CSV file will include a column where you will need to enter the name of the files, as they are displayed in the interface, or as they are stocked on your FTP.

If you want to associate multiple attachments to ya product, then attachments filenames will need to be separated by a comma (comma being the default separator), as shown in the example below.
 

 


If you want to associate the same attachment to multiple products, the CSV file will be:


 

 Deleting attachments

A mapping option called 'Action: Delete attachments' allows you to dissociate all attachments from a specific product, to eventually associate new ones.

This action will never delete attachment files, it only dissociate from products.

The CSV file will include this 'delete attachments' column at the very beginning of your file (this will be the first action of the import process), with value 1 (for yes), and eventually a 'Attachments' column for new attachments to be associated to the product.
