The save position icon can sometimes be grayed out, and there would be two reasons for this:

- When your products are displayed in a central view where the Position column is not present, such as the Shipping, Price, SEO, Reference and Descriptions views.

Don't hesitate to add the Position colunm to the view of your choice with the Customization tool, Tools menu of your Sc interface.

- When the sub category display icon is enabled:  icon on the category toolbar
