Export CSV

You can now export your products to:

 

  • modify them in a spreadsheet and re-import them with Store Commander import tool
  • publish your products in external e-commerce services such as price comparators, market places, etc
  • publish a list of products for your distributors if you are a wholesaler for instance
  • copy products from Prestashop store A to Prestashop store B, C, D...

 

 

Installing Store Commander's export tool

 

When launching Store Commander for the first time, it will ask you to use the menu "Tools" > Installation > "Create script examples for the CVS export tool"

 

This action will perform the following tasks:

  • Create the /export/ file at the root of your store if it does not already exists
  • Create the /adminXXX/SC_TOOLS/ file which will contain the elements specific to your store (mapping of expot scripts, categories selections, ...). You may include this file in your back up system. Store Commander's automatic update never ocxcurs in this file.
  • Copy scripts examples files related to a number of extenal e-commerce services within the /adminXXX/SC_TOOLS/cat_export/ file.

 

The CSV Export window

 

When clicking on the menu Catalog > CSV Export, a new window will open up with the following panels:

 

  • Export scripts management
  • Mappings management
  • Categories selections management
  • Export results

 

In order to export your products, you must first choose an export script, create an associated mapping and inicate categories to be exported.
