Images

This table lists the images for the selected product.

 

  • ID: Database ID.
  • Image: Image display.
  • Caption: Edit the caption directly in the table.
  • Pos.: Position in the list of images.
  • Default: Edit the product’s default image

 

 

Toolbar Buttons

 

picture_add Opens a window for uploading photos to the server.

 

textfield_key Write the product name in the captions for the selected images.

 

layers Saves the positions of the images as displayed in the table.

 

application_lightning Selects all images.

 

delete Deletes the selected images.

The image ID in blue is the default image for the product (cover image) and the one displayed in your e-store’s categories.

 

lightbulb Tip: For PC users: When selecting images to upload in the image upload window using the Shift key, click first on the last image in the range and then on the first in order to preserve the image order in your e-store. Failing this, the last image will be displayed in first position.

 

Formats of images loaded onto the server

 

By default Prestashop transforms all loaded images into JPG format.

 

Store Commander allows you to use the PNG format by activating this option in the preferences (menu Tools > Preferences). You can also specify the compression rate of transformed images so as to obtain higher quality images whilst showing a heavier weight on your server.

 

Other options are available such as the background color to be used when a transparent image is transformed into a JPG format.
